Emily has been a member of Best Hooper’s town planning practice since November 2015.
Emily regularly appears as an advocate in planning proceedings in the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal and Planning Panels Victoria on behalf of applicants and developers. She also advises and appears for defendants in planning and building criminal prosecution matters in the Magistrates’ Court as well as in applications concerning liquor licences before Liquor Control Victoria.
With qualifications in environmental science and family ties to central Victoria, Emily has a particular focus on land use and development applications in regional and rural Victoria and matters involving contamination and environmental issues.
Emily was recently named as ‘One to Watch’ by Australia’s Best Lawyers Awards 2024 and 2025. Emily is a member of the Urban Developers Institute of Australia’s North East (Bendigo) Chapter, the Victorian Planning and Environmental Lawyer Association and the Law Institute of Victoria.
